Corona-news from 24 November 21

Dear audience,

we continue to perform - with reduced seating.
As of, 24 November 2021, the Bavarian State Government's new infection control measures ordinance to combat the Corona pandemic comes into force. From now on, this means that only 25% of the seating capacity may be occupied for all performances at the Bayerische Staatsoper. Should the incidence value of the city of Munich exceed the 1000 mark, all performances must be cancelled.

All performances until 15 December 2021 will be open for sale again from Wednesday 24 November 6pm with a reduced seating plan, with the optimism that we may continue to play for you for a long time to come.

With the new measures coming into effect, the 2G+ rule (vaccinated or recovered plus mandatory presentation of a negative rapid antigen test or PCR test) will apply when attending a performance. Furthermore, the wearing of an FFP2 mask is obligatory, also during the performance.

For all performances from December 16, we expect a decision from the state government in the course of the coming week. We therefore ask you for a little patience!
