Ballet Festival Week 2024

From April 12 to 20, 2024, the Bayerisches Staatsballett will present a premiere, a guest performance and the highlights of the current season at the Ballet Festival Week. An integral part of the festival calendar since 1960 and the dance counterpart to the Munich Opera Festival. The Ballet Festival Week 2024 will open on April 12, 2024 with the premiere of the triple bill Duato / Skeels / Eyal. Sharon Eyal's Autodance can be seen for the first time in Munich, while Nacho Duato's White Darkness will be danced for the first time in Munich by the Bayerisches Staatsballett. Andrew Skeels makes his debut with the Staatsballett and creates a world premiere for the ensemble. With Peeping Tom, the experts in the field of physical theatre perform in Munich for the first time. The Belgian company presents two shows of their three-part work Triptych, which consists of the pieces The missing door, The lost room and The hidden floor. The program is supplemented by current works from the repertoire, such as Onegin (John Cranko), Tchaikovsky Overtures (Alexei Ratmansky), Le Parc (Angelin Preljocaj) and La Bayadère (Patrice Bart).

Written binding orders for the Ballet Festival Week (via online form on the Bayerische Staatsoper website) are now available. Processing will begin on Fri, Jan 12, 2024. Online, telephone and over-the-counter sales of all remaining tickets will begin on Mon, February 12, 2024.
