Marina Duarte

Corps de ballet  

Marina Fernandes da Costa Duarte was born in 1999 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and started her ballet training at the Escola Estadual de Danças Maria Olenewa at the age of eight. For her participation in the finals of the Youth America Grand Prix 2013 in New York, she received a scholarship from the Académie Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo, where she completed her training till 2017. She joined the corps de ballet of the Bayerisches Staatsballet in the season 2017/18.

 

Awards

  • Gold medal and best dancer at the Festival Internacional de Dança de Cabo Frio, 2012
  • Finalist and top twelve at the Youth America Grand Prix, 2013
  • Public Prize and Second Prize winner at the Prix de Lausanne, 2017
