Daniel was born in Argentina. He was educated as a dancer at the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires, where he studied until he joined Ballet de Santiago, Chile, at the age of 16.
He later became a member in companies such as Teatro Colon, Teatro Argentino, Teatro San Martin and Carte Blanche (Norwegian National Contemporary Dance Company) where he worked for several years creating and performing works by Ohad Naharin, Amanda Miller and Robyn Orlin, among many others.
Since 2005, Daniel has worked closely with dance and theatre director Alan Lucien Oeyen and his company Winter Guests for several productions as a dancer and, most recently, as an actor.
He's an important contributor to the works of world-renowned choreographers Russell Maliphant and Ina Christel Johannessen, creating large parts of the choreographic and compositional material and functioning as their assistant.
In 2007 Daniel received the 1st prize at the 21st International Competition for Choreographers in Hanover, Germany for his choreographic debut. Since then, Daniel has made and toured several works internationally.
In 2008 Oeyen created And Carolyn for Proietto. The piece received two 1st Prizes in choreographic competitions in Copenhagen and Burgos.
Daniels dancing has been highly praised by the international press and, among his many accolades, he was nominated as Outstanding Male Dancer in the 2004 critic’s survey of Ballet Tanz, listed as one of the 2010 highlights of The Observer, and chosen as Outstanding Performer in 2009 by the magazine Dance Europe, in which he ranked 1st, among 170 major ballet and contemporary dance figures.
Recently, Daniel won the “Outstanding Male Dancer” award at the UK National Dance Awards for the solo AfterLight part 1.
In 2011 Daniel made his debut in the title role of Sidi Larbi Cherkoui's Faun, premiering the work in the U.S. Later in the year he received the Apuli Award, in Italy, for his interpretation.
He participated in several international dance galas and toured extensively the works of Oeyen's, Johanessen's, Maliphant's, Cherkoui's and his own in America, Asia and Europe.
In 2012 he will appear for the first time in a film: Anna Karenina - by director Joe Wright.
