Callum Thorpe sang zunächst im Chor der Coventry Cathedral, bevor er an der Royal Academy of Music in London Gesang studierte. Engagements führten ihn u. a. an das Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, das Théâtre La Monnaie in Brüssel und das Theater Basel sowie zum Glyndebourne Festival. Sein Repertoire umfasst Partien wie Masetto (Don Giovanni), Plutone (LʼOrfeo), Banco (Macbeth), Lieutenant Ratcliffe (Billy Budd), Der Komtur (Don Giovanni) und Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte). Zudem sang er die Partie des Gibarian in der Uraufführung von Dai Fujikuras Multimedia-Oper Solaris. Seit der Spielzeit 2017/18 ist er im Ensemble der Bayerischen Staatsoper. (Stand: 2018)
