FAMILY PERFORMANCES
Opera is an experience for the whole family. For selected performances we therefore offer family performances with binding age ratings. Children and young people under 18 accompanied by an adult pay € 10 on all seats.
The Bayerische Staatsoper offers a kids’ introduction for € 3 before all family performances, i.e. 45 minutes before the show begins.
TICEKTS FOR FAMILY PERFORMANCES
Order kids’ tickets up to one month before the performance via the “Order tickets” link in our programme.
As soon as the sale of tickets not for subscribers begins, kids’ tickets can then only be purchased at our box office or by phone:

Kids’ tickets are only issued in combination with at least one “adult” ticket. Unfortunately a mixture of price categories is not possible, unless the places are beside one another.
KID'S PRODUCTIONS
In the 2021/2022 season our KIDS & CO kids’ programme also brings empathetic and entertaining productions to the stage especially for the littlest ones.
You’ll find all productions listed here and order the tickets just as normal via the tickets link in the programme or at our box office. Please note our instructions for ticket sales for this.

WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS
In our three-hour SpielOpera and SpielBallet workshops kids or families with kids are introduced in a playfully way to opera and ballet works.
Tickets are ordered via this SpielOpera/SpielBallet order form. The ticket costs € 18 per child. The workshop is limited to 30 (opera) and 18 (ballet) participants. Processing begins one month before the requested date. We will send you an e-mail telling you if our purchase has been successful or not. Please note that the age ratings are binding.
