Opera doesn't have to be expensive! On the contrary – we particularly want to offer young or low-income people the ability to afford an opera, ballet or concert ticket at all times.

DISCOUNTS FOR CHILDREN AN FAMILIES
CHILDREN UP TO 18 YEARS
In our family performances, children and young people under 18 accompanied by an adult pay €10 on all seats. Children's tickets can be ordered in writing and by telephone, but cannot be booked online in the auditorium schedule. A subsequent reduction of already paid tickets is not possible. In our children's productions, children naturally also pay a reduced price. The dates for family performances and children's productions can be found here.
YOUNG ADULTS UNDER 30
Young adults under 30 receive tickets for 10 euros in selected performances. Further information on dates and advance booking deadlines can be found here.
DISCOUNTS FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
People with a disability are very welcome here, and also receive discounts on our ticket prices. Places for wheelchair users are therefore provided free of charge in our venues. Their companions also receive a 50 per cent discount. All requirements and further discounts for disabled people are explained here. Please also note our instructions for a barrier-free visit.
WHEELCHAIR USERS
Seats for companions with a 50% discount are provided; admission is free for wheelchair users.
The places for wheelchair users are in row 19 in the stalls. There are two places on the right and two on the left. Companions sit in the stalls, row 19 (seats 763 and 762) and row 20 (seats 791 and 792).
Two of the four places are reserved for advance written orders. Two places are reserved for sale at the desk and by phone. Sales begin one week before regular desk sales begin. Please note our advance sales periods for this.
VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE
People with a visual impairment (in Germany BI on the handicapped ID) and their companion receive a 50 per cent discount off the standard ticket price.
MILITARY SERVICE DISABILITIES
People with a severe war or military service disability or concentration camp survivors (in Germany EB or VB on the handicapped ID) and their companion receive a discount off the standard ticket price.
PROOF PROVIDED WITH HANDICAPPED ID
The discounts named apply to people with the German EB, BI, VB or B categories. The respective identifiers must appear on the disabled person’s ID, otherwise the discount cannot be provided. Those with just the B (companion required) category on their disabled person’s ID do not receive a discount. However if the need for a constant companion can be proved, they receive a 100 per cent discount. People with a hearing impairment do not receive a discount.
THE BAYERISCHE STAATSOPER’S AFFORDABLE MONTHLY TICKET
Can’t get enough of the Bayerische Staatsoper? With our Monthly Ticket you can visit the Nationaltheater every evening – for a one-off payment of just € 50. This only applies to standing and listening places in our tiers, but for absolute opera fans it is certainly still an unbeatable offer.

RULES IN DETAIL
With the Monthly Ticket for € 50 (discounted: € 25) you can attend every performance (except closed events, premieres and shows during the Opera Festival) in the Nationaltheater on category VIII seats/places (listening-only seats and seats with lamps for reading the score or standing places) for a full month. Written orders are processed two months in advance via our form. Lost Monthly Tickets cannot be replaced; individual replacement tickets cannot be issued at the box office. There is no Monthly Ticket for July and September.
SOCIAL PASS
The Sozial-Pass offers citizens:in Bavaria with low incomes a variety of benefits when using municipal and non-municipal facilities. At the Bavarian State Opera, this means that upon presentation of the pass, regardless of the city, it is possible to purchase tickets for only €10 at the box office, provided that remaining tickets are available.
Please note that with discounted tickets there is no free choice of seats, the discounted tickets are allocated automatically. The offer is valid for all citizens of the Free State of Bavaria. PACKAGE PRICE WITH THE OFFSTAGE 360 TICKET
In addition to our core programme on the big stage, as part of the Offstage 360 programme we also offer discursive and new artistic formats – in the Nationaltheater and in the entire city. THE OFFSTAGE 360 TICKET IN DETAIL
With the Offstage 360 ticket for the package price of € 30 (partner ticket € 60), you can participate in this exciting selection of our artistic supporting programme for the entire season. This includes both premiere matinees and selected dramaturgy additional offers and crossover formats.
Please not that an admission ticket is required for the free visit to the respective event. The standard advance sales terms apply here.
If you buy your ticket online, your Offstage 360 ticket ID is required at the end of the order process in the “Customer ticket/promotion code” field in order for the discount to be considered. A € 2 processing fee per ticket applies with written, phone and online orders. The Offstage 360 ticket is not transferable and must be presented at admission together with a valid photo ID.
DANCE TICKET
Classical or modern? In the Nationaltheater or the Prinzregententheater? See every Spartacus or Alice in Wonderland again and again? The Dance Ticket offers everyone who can’t get enough of their favourite ballet the chance to visit all Bayerisches Staatsballett performances for a 20 per cent discounted price for a full season.

DANCE TICKET DETAILS
Premieres, gala performances and guest performances are excluded. Per season you pay € 59 for the Dance Ticket or € 95 for the Dance Ticket+, which entitles you to purchase two discounted tickets.
You can purchase tickets by phone, online, in writing or in person at the box office, or even spontaneously at the evening box office before the performance.
The Dance Ticket is not transferable and must be presented at admission together with a valid photo ID.
