FAQ Ticket Sales 20–21 Season

The basic rule is: Your health has the highest priority! We will consistently implement the developed and coordinated hygiene concepts and adapt them on a daily basis. But it is also a matter of the heart for us that you experience a fulfilling and stimulating introduction visit with us - we are already looking forward to seeing you again in autumn!

In the following overview we answer some of the central questions about the start of the season. If you have any further questions, please contact the visitor communication department (alternatively by telephone on T.+49.(0)89.2185 1025, Mon-Fri 10-18 hrs).

When does the 2020-21 season begin?

The 2020-21 season begins on 1 September 2020 with additional performances. In the course of the season, there will be repeated deviations from the schedule previously communicated in our annual preview. You can find the complete schedule here.

When will autumn tickets go on sale?

  •     Orders for September will be processed from 7 August,
  •     Orders for October and November will be processed from 26 August,
  •     Orders for December will be processed as usual on the same date from September 1.

A further contingent of tickets (ticket contingent 2) will go on sale online, by telephone and at the box office on the following dates:

  •     All performances in September: from Tue 18 August 10.00 a.m. (no box office sales up to and including 30 August),
  •     Performances from 1 October to 13 November inclusive: from Sa 12 September 10.00 a.m,
  •     Performances from 14 November: as usual, two months in advance from 14 September.

Depending on demand and availability, ticket purchases may be limited to a maximum of two tickets per order. If the quantity of tickets requested exceeds the supply, the decision will be made by drawing lots.

Which seats are on sale?

We will determine a modified seating plan at the beginning of August, which will correspond to the distance regulations for cultural events applicable at that time. In principle, the categories and price schemes of the regular seating plans will continue to apply, but there may be a reduction in the number of seats offered. Depending on the applicable regulations, it is possible that you will be seated next to a stranger without any distance. Please indicate on the order form whether you also accept single seats.

What else should I bear in mind when visiting?

Detailed information about your visit will be sent to you by e-mail in good time before the performance. They will tell you what to take into account on admission, whether there will be a break and gastronomic offers and whether you will have to wear a mouth and nose protector during the performance, depending on the regulations in force. Currently, only persons who cannot wear a mouth and nose protector at the performance for health reasons are exempt from this requirement.

Every ticket purchase is personalised, but in the current situation it is unfortunately not possible to make an anonymous purchase at the box office. It is not necessary to register the specific visitors, but you as a buyer are obliged to be able to name the visitors of the event. Please pass on the information about the visit and note our current additional conditions.

Please also note that due to the current situation there may be changes in cast and schedule of the productions shown - we thank you for your flexibility!

What happens with the subscription?

Your seats are still reserved for you. Subscribers will be informed in writing of the current status by mid-July. Subscription passes will only be sent out and invoiced as soon as play can be resumed in the planned form. We currently expect to have to suspend subscription calls in September and October. As a compensation, all subscribers can take advantage of their 20% subscription discount as soon as advance ticket sales for all performances in September and October begin. When processing orders (ticket contingent 1), the first 20 tickets per performance during this period will always be allocated to subscribers. At the end of September a decision will be made as to whether subscription calls can be made again from 1 November. Thank you very much for your loyalty and patience!

I already ordered tickets for the new season some time ago, is this order still valid?

All orders that are not affected by a change of schedule remain valid.
