Tickets for the Munich Opera Festival 2021
Due to the current situation and the associated planning uncertainty, the deadlines for advance sales have been pushed back to some extent:
How to order your tickets now
Orders for the Munich Opera Festival (via online form or in writing) are now possible, processing will begin on Mon, 15.03.21. All Festival orders are expected to be processed by the end of April. Since a large part of our team works in the home office due to the recommended contact restrictions, postal orders cannot be recorded quickly as usual. We therefore recommend that you order online via our new Festival form. Here you will immediately receive a confirmation of receipt of your order and can check all the data again. In the online form you can also indicate that you are a member of the Freunde des Nationaltheaters (Friends of the Nationaltheater) - simply tick the appropriate box.
Residual sale expected from 15 May 2021
Direct sales of all remaining tickets online, by telephone and, depending on the infection situation, at the box office if possible, are expected to begin on 15.05.21 at 10.00 am.
First ticket sale
The first sale originally planned for 16.01.21 was unfortunately cancelled. We see no possibility of holding this sale in compliance with hygiene regulations on site. All tickets for the Munich Opera Festival 2021 will be allocated via written sales. Any remaining tickets are expected to go on sale on 15.05.21.
We strongly recommend that you only purchase tickets from the official ticket agencies (Zentraler Dienst der Bayerischen Staatstheater, Süddeutsche Zeitung Tickets and Zentraler Karten Vorverkauf). Other platforms do not work with the Bayerische Staatsoper, therefore the validity of these tickets cannot be guaranteed by the Bayerische Staatsoper. We would like to expressly warn you against buying overpriced tickets on the platforms ebay, viagogo, etc., these tickets may no longer be valid due to violations of our general terms and conditions. Please only use our ticket exchange for the secondary market.
