The Bayerische Staatsoper would like to thank all sponsors and partners for their generous support. This enduring, active engagement not only provides financial security – it also establishes a strong and lasting connection. Your loyalty strengthens and encourages us in our work.

Many thanks to our glabal partners

The Bayerische Staatsoper looks forward to expanding this inspiring and creative partnership and to finding further innovative ways to anchor art and music in our society with BMW as its global partner.

Dear Opera Guest,

For some half a century now cultural engagement has been a fixed component of the BMW Group’s global portfolio. Our focus here is on interaction and reciprocal knowledge transfer. The highest maxim in all our partnerships is the creative freedom that we consider indispensable. In the BMW Group’s self-image our cooperations in art and culture are an essential part of social sustainability – yesterday, today and tomorrow. We have always reached and moved people together. I am especially pleased here by the fact that in the fiftieth year of our global cultural engagement our partnership with the Bayerische Staatsoper also celebrates an anniversary. For 25 years now, we have been enabling inspiring experiences in the opera and with the festivals. With Opera for All we also make the concert hall accessible to the general public, and therefore remove certain barriers to high culture.

Have a wonderful time in and with the Bayerische Staatsoper!

With Heartfelt Gratitude
Ilka Horstmeier
Member of the BMW AG Board of Management

OUR THANKS TO KARIN AND PROF. DR. H.C. ROLAND BERGER

Professor Roland Berger and his wife Karin Berger have been Premium Circle Members since 2002. The Bergers have supported the Bayerische Staatsoper since 2009 as Avantgarde Partners and therefore enable numerous world premieres and commissioned works, as well as 20th century operas.

MANY THANKS TO JULIA FROHWITTER – BAYERISCHES STAATSORCHESTER AMBASSADOR

Along with her engagement in the Premium Circle and as a project partner, Julia Frohwitter has also been a Bayerisches Staatsorchester ambassador since the 2019/2020 season. She enables numerous special projects with her individual support. As a Bayerisches Staatsorchester representative, Julia Frohwitter is not only here in Munich for every concert, she also travels with the Staatsorchester to guest performances. As an ambassador, it is especially important for her to highlight the immense importance of the Bayerisches Staatsorchester for the legendary performances in the Nationaltheater, as the foundation of every opera performance and every ballet production.

MANY THANKS TO THE HYPOVEREINSBANK – MEMBER OF UNICREDIT

The HypoVereinsbank is part of the UniCredit Group, a simple and successful pan-European commercial bank with fully integrated corporate & investment banking. It accepts social and societal responsible by supporting music and the visual arts, integration projects and social employee engagement. With Social Impact Banking, in 2019 the HypoVereinsbank expanded its social engagement in Germany across and beyond existing cultural and social engagements, sponsoring and donations.

The HypoVereinsbank achieves its goal of making art and culture accessible to people from every background with top quality cultural engagement in cooperation with partners such as the Bayerische Staatsoper. Together with the Staatsoper, the bank has been organizing the UniCredit Festival Night since 2002, the cultural offering of which also inspires an audience that normally would not be considered classical opera fans. Every year some 15,000 enthusiastic visitors look forward to a full night of diverse and free admission cultural pleasure in Munich’s city centre.

As a Festival Workshop partner the HypoVereinsbank also supports young performers and choreographers in particular, who can then present their pieces within this framework. The annual Charity Opera Performance to support the programme for children and young people is also organised together with the HypoVereinsbank and the Bayerische Staatsoper

MANY THANKS TO THE RH GROUP OF COMPANIES – NICKY AND ROBERT HÜBNER

The RH group of companies has been an owner-run family business since 1956, which specialises in the project development and management of office buildings, hotels, retail parks and residential and commercial buildings. Robert Hübner has been at the helm as Executive Manager in the third generation since 1995.

As a Premium Circle Member, the entrepreneur has already supported the Bayerische Staatsoper since 2014. The RH group of companies expanded its engagement in the 2019/2020 season, and as part of the Excellence Partnership significantly ensures the Bayerische Staatsoper’s high standards of quality will also be secured in the future, and in particular with the best possible casts.

MANY THANKS TO SIEMENS AG

Siemens AG is a leading international technology corporation. The company is active worldwide, primarily in the areas of electrification, automation and digitisation, and participates as a sponsor and driving force in numerous cultural events at the highest possible level. Siemens has, for example, already been the Orchestra Academy of the Bayerisches Staatsorchester’s main sponsor since 2007.

The Siemens Arts Program, which works with its activities to support excellent talented young artists around the globe, is an essential component of its support engagement. This is implemented with its own young talent contests (e.g. the Siemens Opera Contest) and by networking junior staff with established international cultural institutions, such as the Bayerische Staatsoper. The use of new technologies is also an explicit goal of the programme. Classical works by Pytor Tchaikovsky and Friedrich Gulda, for example, have therefore been recorded with the Orchestra Academy in the immersive 3D Sound method. Further sound reproduction axes are added here to the usual stereo method. The listeners experience the musical recordings as if they were in the middle of the orchestra and can enjoy the spatial quality of the sounds – brand new and holistic.

MANY THANKS TO VAN CLEEF & ARPELS

Founded in 1906 on Place Vendôme in Paris, the jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels inaugurated its first branch in Germany in 2017 on Munich’s Maximilianstraße. As a Bayerische Staatsoper neighbour, the expansion of its engagement focused on the ballet area.

The cooperation with internationally renowned opera houses and ballet ensembles already initiated the company’s support for the art of ballet decades ago. Ballet is a key theme for Van Cleef & Arpels, as with both their striving for excellence is intricately linked with beauty and harmony.

The Bayerische Staatsballett has enjoyed Van Cleef & Arpels' support since 2018. Special thanks to Van Cleef & Arpels are in particular due for their support of the remarkable ballet, Jewels.
