Unfortunately Jonas Kaufmann had to cancel his planned performance at the 3rd Monday concert due to a slight cold. We wish him a speedy recovery and are pleased that soprano Adela Zaharia has spontaneously agreed to perform on Monday.

Each concert will start at 8.15 pm (CET) on STAATSOPER.TV, live and free of charge: The programme of the Monday Concerts will consist of Lied, solo instrumentalists, chamber music and dance. Musicians of the Bayerisches Staatsorchester, dancers of the Bayerisches Staatsballett, and artists closely associated with the house will participate over the next couple of weeks, such as violinist Julia Fischer, soprano Hanna-Elisabeth Müller, baritone Christian Gerhaher, pianist Gerold Huber, tenor Jonas Kaufmann, baritone Michael Nagy and bass Tareq Nazmi.

Biographies
Principal
Javier Amo was born in Bilbao, started training at the Jon Beitia School in his home town and completed his dance education at the John-Cranko-School in Stuttgart. In 1999 he joined the Stuttgarter Ballet. Since autumn 2005 Javier Amo has been a Corps de ballet member of the Bavarian State Ballet. He was promoted to soloist at the beginning of the season 2007/2008 and to first soloist in the season 2009/2010. Since the 2014/2015 season, Javier Amo has the rank of a principal dancer.
