Recitals 2023–24
For many decades, the Bayerische Staatsoper has invited singers to give recitals. Most of the artists who perform operatic roles at the National Theater in Munich are also at home in the art song - the most concentrated form in which the human voice expresses itself musically. In the 2023–24 season, a number of the most excellent performers in this field will be guests at the Bayerische Staatsoper during the festival season: some for the first time, others as welcome returners. Golda Schultz is well known in Munich - she once began her career here as a member of the opera studio, spent several years in the local ensemble, and is now an internationally sought-after artist. Making their debut in the lied repertoire at the Bayerische Staatsoper are Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian and her piano accompanist Lukas Geniusas. Also coming is Jakub Józef Orliński (with Michał Biel), and Ludovic Tézier will also devote himself to the intimate genre. Throughout the season, portrait concerts of the Opera Studio, in which the young members present themselves with diverse programs, enrich the Lied offerings at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
The Opera Festival 2023 also offers top-class recitals. Below you will find an overview of all song recitals from summer 2023 until the end of the 2023–24 season.
