Updates to the 2020-2021 Season

In the following we have summarized the changes in the ballet schedule resulting from the worldwide Corona pandemic and the new regulations in terms of distance and hygiene that result from it. We also answer further questions in our FAQ or you can contact our visitor communications department directly.

Date changes and cancellations

The premiere of The Blizzard has been moved back one day to 17 April 2021.  Please see also the programme of our digital ballet festival week. 

All performances of Coppélia, Romeo and Juliet, Spartacus and Cinderella are cancelled for the current season. The tour performances of both the Mariinsky Ballet (Le Corsaire) in April and the Staatsballett Hannover in June have been cancelled. 

The performances of Passagen are cancelled in the season  2020/21. Russel Maliphant's Broken Fall is performed as a part of Paradigma. The premiere of Philipp Kratz's to get to become will be performed as part of Today is Tomorrow, with the first performance on 24 June 2021. 

The performances of Swan Lake and Giselle in April cancelled. 

Due to an additinal performance date in June, the premiere of Today is Tomorrow is moved up to 24 June 2021.
