She trained at The Royal Ballet School and as a student performed with The Royal Ballet. She made her Royal Ballet choreographic debut in 2014 with the film The Indifferent Beak for Deloitte Ignite 14. During her residency she made works for Royal Ballet Draft Works, Partnership and Access Chance to Dance, The Royal Ballet School Summer Performance 2016, META created for Wayne McGregor’s tenth anniversary and Piggy in the Middle / Sink or Swim (film). She was a guest choreographer on The Royal Ballet Summer School 2017.

For Dutch National Ballet, Charlotte created Fuse in 2015/16, her debut international commission, which has since been revived and toured by Dutch National Juniors spring tour. Charlotte’s work for other companies includes: No Strings Attached (as Causeway Young Artist in Residence), Self for Yorke Dance Project, Pelican for English National Ballet Emerging Dancer, a work for the Selfridges EveryBODY campaign, Studio Wayne McGregor, Northern Ballet Studio and Opera Holland Park. In 2017 she accepted a summer residency with Center for Ballet and the Arts in New York. In 2017 she made a short film, Sink or Swim, which has a focus on mental health and is inspired by the portrait Sink or Swim by Ian Cumberland (BP Portrait Award, 2015), featuring Francesca Hayward. Charlotte’s choreography features on the BBC film Winged Bull In The Elephant Case performed by Alessandra Ferri and James Pett.

She recently directed a short film with KO Productions about plastic pollution featuring Sadler’s Wells Young Associate Christopher Thomas. 2019 premieres include: a return to Rambert School to make 10 Million Tonnes for their graduate performance; Left From Write for Norwegian National Ballet II at the 2019 Young Talent Festival at the Royal Opera House’s Linbury Theatre; Charlotte Edmonds’ American debut at The Joyce Theater’s Ballet Festival summer; and Wired To The Moon for Ballet Cymru. This year Charlotte returns to Norwegian National Ballet II and Dutch National Ballet Junior to revive existing choreographies, and create new works.
