COVID19-NEWS SEPTEMBER 2021

The global pandemic forces us to respond repeatedly to new developments and regulations. This can also effect our available tickets. We’ll keep you up-to-date here!

The decisions of the Bavarian State Government in September 2021 and the announced relief for theatres make it possible for us to reopen our theatre at bigger capacity in time for the start of the season.

For the September performances, this means that the rows of seats previously left empty will now also be sold. If you already have tickets for a performance in September, the seats next to you will not be occupied by other visitors. For performances from October onwards, we sell all the seats in the auditorium.

YOUR HEALTH IS OUR PRIORITY

Health protection for you as well as for our staff continues to have top priority! Of course, we will continue to implement all current hygiene rules. For this, please see www.staatsoper.de/stay-healthy.

The following regulations apply to your visit to the theatre from September onwards:

  • From 18 September, attendance at performances is only possible for people with a negative test, and for fully vaccinated or demonstrably recovered persons (3G rule).
  • Wearing a medical mask ("surgical mask") or FFP2 mask during the entire stay in the house is compulsory - also at the seat during the performance.

Thank you for your support!

PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE

The quickest way to get opera tickets is online via our programme. You’ll reach it quick and easy on our website via the little calendar icon at the top right. You can filter here for any times or topics to get to the performance you want.

On the performance’s page you will then find the information on ticket prices and available ticket categories. The ticket link will take you directly to our online shop. Here, you have the option of choosing the seat you want in the seating plan and paying for the tickets by credit card, direct debit or immediate bank transfer. You then receive the tickets by e-mail as “Ticket direct” or can have them sent to your home.
For online sales we charge a processing fee of 2 euro per ticket.

WRITTEN ORDERS

Is the ticket link of the performance you're interested in not active yet? If so tickets for the event are not on sale yet. (Please note our advance sales periods for this.)

The “Request tickets” button will take you to our form for written orders, where you can reserve tickets in advance.
Please enter your contact and payment details as well as the price category you'd like. We'll inform you in good time, and before the sale for non-subscribers begins, whether your ticket request has been successful or not. If the demand exceeds our ticket quota, a lottery decides who will get the tickets – irrespective of the date when the order was received. All written orders are processed two months before the respective performance date.
For written orders we charge a processing fee of 2 euro per ticket.

PURCHASING TICKETS BY PHONE OR E-MAIL

Telephone and e-mail orders are possible via our call centre. Here, you can purchase tickets for all performances that are available to non-subscribers. Please see our advance sales periods for further information.
