Upcoming guest artist performances

Dear fans of the Bayerisches Staatsballett and of our international guest artists, 

as already announced, we are happy to welcome a variety of renouned international stars to our stage in the 2018/19 season. 

Having given her house debut in Jewels in October, Nancy Osbaldeston of the Opera Ballet Vlaanderen will return on 9 and 14 December to dance in John Neumeier's The Nutcracker. For tickets please check the production website here

Sergei Polunin will return as Jean de Brienne in Ray Barra’s Raymonda on 19 and 20 January 2019. The online, phone and box office sales has already started. Sergei Polunin will also be dancing the title role in Yuri Grigorovich’s Spartacus on 25 March 2019. Written ticket applications are already possible. Vladimir Shklyarov will return in the title role of Onegin in John Cranko's masterpiece on 1 March 2019. Written ticket applications are already possible. Unfortunately, his appearance in John Neumeier's The Lady of the Camellias on 26 January 2019 had to be cancelled.  The new cast has not yet been announced. 

Ashley Bouder, principal dancer of the New York City Ballet, will perform for the first time with the Bayerisches Staatsballett in the season 2018/19. She will dance in Rubies in George Balanchine’s Jewels on 11 April 2019 during the Ballet Festival Week. Written ticket applications are already possible. Ivan Vasiliev, Honored Artist of Russia und principal at the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, will be giving his role debut as Petrucchio in John Cranko's The Taming of the Shrew on 14 April 2019. The performance is part of the 2019 Ballet Festival Week.
