Starting with the new season 2018/19 the production formerly known as Young Choreographers will be listed under the new name À Jour - Contemporary Choreographies.
In the seasons 2016/17 and 2017/18, we presented eight new works by young choreographers under this very name Young Choreographers. As of 2018/19, the series is presented under the new name À Jour - Contemporary Choreographies. The French term À Jour strengthens the aspect of current and up-to-date works above the notion of a choreographer`s age. The yearly series offers a platform to young, aspiring international artists in the field of choreography. It aims at, but is not limited to newcomers. In the past two years, the productions dealt with current topics and forms of movement, while at the same time transcending genres and challenging boundaries.
À Jour - Contemporary Choreographies will be presented for the third time in 2019. Andrey Kaydanovskiy, whose debut with Discovery was critically acclaimed in 2017, will return with a new piece in 2019.
