Lizi Avsajanishvili
Demi-Soloist
Born in Georgia, Lizi trained with Nina Ananiashvili at the State Ballet School «Vakhtang Chabukiani» in Tbilisi (2011-2016) and with Ludmila Kovaleva at the Vaganova Academy in St. Petersburg (2016-2020). She received a Gold Medal at the Eva Evdokimova Memorial Educational Ballet Competition in Tokyo in 2017, the Third Prize at the 2018 Vaganova Competition in St. Petersburg and was invited to take part in the Prix de Lausanne in 2020. She joined the ballet company at Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg in 2020 and moved on to Staatsballett Berlin in 2022, where she performed in Alexander Ekman's Cacti, Christian Spuck's Messa da Requiem and Marco Goecke's Petrushka, among others. In the 2024/25 season, she joined Bayerisches Staatsballett as a demi-soloist.
