Our vouchers are ideal for everyone – opera, ballet and concert lovers , as well as novices!

WHAT CAN I GET WITH A GIFT VOUCHER?
Recipients can use their gift certificate to purchase tickets for all opera and ballet performances, as well as concerts and recitals, at the Bayerische Staatsoper. They can also use it to purchase any items from our opera shop. There, you’ll find everything from bags and DVD recordings to Bayerische Staatsoper coffee mugs—something for opera fans of all ages.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I SPEND?
That’s entirely up to you – you choose the amount as you wish. Should the purchase amount exceed the voucher value, the rest can of course be settled in cash or by card.

To give you some ideas, we’ve put together some examples for you to show you what recipients can look forward to with their voucher:

Voucher value: 20 €: one ticket to a portrait concert by the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Opera Studio or a CD from our label, Bayerische Staatsoper Recordings.

Voucher value €50: two seats in the 5th seating category for the 4th Academy Concert, conducted by Edward Gardner. The program features Igor Stravinsky’s Feuervogel and Eugène Ysaÿe’s Amitié, performed by David Schultheiß and Matjaž Bogataj. Or a copy of the book Through the Looking Glass with photographs by Wilfried Hösl.

Voucher value €100: one seat in the orchestra or balcony for the opera Idomeneo by Wolfgang A. Mozart in June 2027, including a program booklet.

Voucher value €150: two tickets in the orchestra for the ballet Waves and Circles in April 2027, including a program booklet.

WHAT DOES A VOUCHER LOOK LIKE?
We offer you the voucher to print out conveniently at home. If you would like to print out the voucher yourself, simply order online with the “Ticket-Direct” function.
Alternatively, we’ll also issue you the voucher as a ticket in our very attractive ticket envelope.

HOW DO I REDEEM THE VOUCHER?
Simply redeem the voucher with the voucher code in our online shop or at the Bayerische Staatsoper box office.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
The small print: Our vouchers can be redeemed in the three years following date of issue. Any remaining credit is issued as a residual value certificate. Unfortunately, the subsequent settlement with a voucher on a purchase already made is not possible.
