In addition to discounted tickets for selected performances, we offer a wide range of offers for all <30, aimed at newcomers as well as our already loyal visitors. Various formats are aimed specifically at young visitors: Open Stage (stage for young artists), Open Night (joint finale to a performance), Open Mind (experimental performances/interpretations) and Open Labs (artistic workshops once a week).
If you would like to help shape and get involved artistically, our Create Culture workshop is the right place for you, from which we would like to build a community that is involved in the long-term development of the young formats and gets involved.

Opera for <30
Unforgettable evenings with exciting stories and wonderful music await you at the Bavarian State Opera. Whether pulsating moves, classic fairy tales or current social issues. The best thing is: you only pay €20 if you are under 30. As a member of our <30 Circle, you even only pay €10 So, what are you waiting for?
WHO ARE THE TICKETS FOR?
For all young adults under the age of 30. Registration with proof of age in our <30 app is required.
WHEN ARE THE TICKETS AVAILABLE?
Tickets for all <30 performances in the following month go on sale on the first Monday of each month. Advance ticket sales start at 19:00.
If Monday is a public holiday, tickets go on sale one day later.
A maximum of four tickets per purchaser and performance can be purchased.

GOOD TO KNOW
- The ticket price also includes use of MVV public transport on the day of the performance.
- You get a 50% discount on standing room tickets for all performances at the box office.
- If there are any remaining tickets available, you can buy them at the box office for 20 euros.

YOU STUDY AT THE LMU?
You study at the LMU and are interested in music and culture? Then the exclusive tickets for students are just right for you! The Bayerische Staatsoper provides the 1st tier in the dress rehearsals of each season (both rehearsals for new opera productions and rehearsals of the Bayerische Staatsballett and Bayerische Staatsorchester) with around 200 seats per event exclusively for LMU students free of charge. This allows students to enjoy the unique cultural scene of the National Theater, which inspires with artistic impulses, outstanding productions and socially relevant discourse on a daily basis.
