OPEN LAB
Together with the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Bayerische Staatsballett is opening its doors to anyone who wants to improvise together in the fields of theater, dance, voice, and music.
OPEN LAB
Theater, music, voice, dance, performing arts – with or without prior knowledge
The LAB is for anyone who wants to move in an open, playful setting and try out performative forms of voice (sound, language, text) in the fields of dance, theater, and music. You don't need any previous experience in an artistic field. Feel free to bring a musical instrument with you; we have a grand piano available in the dance studio. In the LAB, you will receive creative impulses that we will explore together, and you can contribute your own ideas, methods, wishes, and needs to the LAB.
Every Thursday from 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Weekly, also during school vacations except on public holidays. Last LAB is on December 18, 2025, starting on January 8, 2026.
OPEN LAB MOVE
Improvisational dance, various dance techniques and styles, movement training – with or without prior experience
Do you enjoy moving and are looking for a place where you can dance freely and improvise – without predetermined choreography?
The LAB brings together people with and without dance experience and creates space for creative exchange and artistic encounters. Just come by, dance along, and let yourself be inspired.
Instructing: Do you have movement experience and would like to share and deepen it? Then you can lead part or all of the LAB session yourself. Just bring your artistic questions with you: a song, a dance method, a text or a story you want to explore in movement, or a new workshop idea you want to try out. The studio and the group are open to your suggestions.
Every Tuesday from 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Weekly, also during school holidays except on public holidays. Last LAB MOVE is on December 16, 2025, starting on January 13, 2026.
