Rio Barker

Rio hails from London, UK. He began his training at the Hammond School in Chester, before moving on to the English National Ballet School in 2023, from which he graduated in 2026. During his time at the school, he performed at the school’s 2026, 2025 and 2006 Summer Performances (Before Jupiter von Juan Eymar,Graduation Ball by David Lichine, Mozart Concerto by Renato Peroni, Of Space And Time by Andrew McNicol) and of a mulitple bill as at Linbury theatre (Winter by Demis Volpi) which was part of the 2026 edition of Next Generation Festival. He was also involved in ENB School’s Graduate Artists Programme project My first ballet: Cinderella, choreographed by George Williamson, which also went on tour. In addition to this, he danced at a school project at the Wallace Collection in May 2025. With the National Youth Ballet, he performed at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London in the autumn of 2024, appearing in Out Loud by Neus Gil Cortés and Open Water (Just What You Wanted) by Daniel Davidson. Starting with the the 2026-27 season, he will be a member of Bayerisches Junior Ballett München.
