Miljana Bernal

Social Media Manager & Photographer 

Miljana began her dance training in Belgrade (Serbia) at the Lujo Davičo Ballet School. After six years of ballet training in Serbia, she was accepted into John Neumeier’s Hamburg Ballet School, where she continued her training for a further three years. In 2002, she joined the ensemble of the Hamburg Ballet under John Neumeier, where she was engaged as a dancer until 2017. Alongside her artistic career, she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Language Studies (BA Hons) at the Open University. Following her active dancing career, she studied Cultural and Media Management (MA) at Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg (2018–2020). During this time and afterwards, she worked in the artistic administration office of both Hamburg Ballet and Bundesjugendballett. This was followed by two years at a Hamburg advertising agency, during which she worked in the field of communications and digital projects.

In 2024, Miljana joined Bayerisches Staatsballett's staff as a social media manager and photographer.
