André Callegaro
André Callegaro, born in São Paulo, started as a Junior student at the Musikakademie Kassel before he completed his studies in orchestral conducting at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar. He is multiple prize winner of Jugend musiziert, and received the special award for Lied Accompaniment at the International Brahmswettbewerb 2014 in Pörtschach/Austria and the Franz-Liszt-Prize 2015. As conductor and répétiteur he accompanied the productions of Madama Butterfly at the Opera in Leipzig in 2015 and the childrens’ production of Der fliegende Holländer at the Bayreuther Festspiele in 2016. He is a stipendiary of the Richard-Wagner-Verband and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung. In the 2016/17 season he is a répétiteur and voice accompanist for the Opera Studio of the Bayerische Staatsoper.
