Gemma Carrington
Animator and projection designer Gemma Carrington made her Royal Ballet debut in 2011, as co-projection designer with Jon Driscoll on Christopher Wheeldon’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland.
Carrington studied animation at the National Film and Television School and the Norwich School of Art and Design. She works regularly with Driscoll, their many credits together include Finding Neverland (Leicester Curve), Earthquakes in London, Nation, A Matter of Life and Death, The Power of Yes, Gethsemane, Fram and Her Naked Skin (National Theatre), Love Never Dies (Adelphi), Separate Tables (Chichester Festival Theatre), Brief Encounter (West End, UK and USA tours and Broadway), Chaplin the Musical (Ethel Barrymore, Broadway), Ghost the Musical (London and Broadway), The Wizard of Oz (London Palladium) and Dirty Dancing (London, Holland, Chicago and Berlin). Carrington’s awards include an OBIE award for projection design for Brief Encounter
