Manuel Duppel Valenzuela
Manuel Duppel Valenzuela, born in Munich, began studying the trombone at the age of eight and commenced lessons with Hansjörg Profanter at the age of twelve. He subsequently received instruction from several distinguished trombonists, including Ulrich Pförtsch, Dankwart Schmidt, and Uwe Schrodi. From 2017 to 2021, he was enrolled as a junior student with Professor Wolfram Arndt, with whom he continued his undergraduate studies until 2024. He then proceeded to study under Professor Oliver Siefert in Frankfurt.
He has acquired extensive orchestral experience through his participation in various ensembles, including the Bavarian State Youth Orchestra, the Student Festival Orchestra of the Pärnu Music Festival, as well as engagements as a substitute trombonist and bass trumpeter with several professional orchestras. As a soloist, he has appeared on multiple occasions with the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 2025, he has been a member of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, and as of the 2025/2026 season, he is a member of the Hermann Levi Academy at the Bayerische Staatsoper.
