Rodrigo Figueiredo

Born in Portugal in 2003, Rodrigo Figueiredo began his musical studies at the age of 9 in the wind band of his home town. In 2021 he started his Bachelor's degree in Music at ESMAE - Porto, Portugal, studying with professors José Bernardo Silva, Nuno Vaz and Bohdan Sebestik. During the last year of his studies, he participated in the ERASMUS+ programme and attended the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg in Germany under the guidance of Professor José Vicente Castelló.
Since September 2024, Rodrigo has been pursuing a Master's degree at the Freiburg University of Music, continuing his studies with Professor José Vicente Castelló.
Throughout his training, Rodrigo has taken part in masterclasses with renowned horn players and has excelled in various competitions, winning first prize at the 2023 Gondomar International Music Competition.
Rodrigo has collaborated with prestigious orchestras, including the Gulbenkian Orchestra as assistant principal horn in the 2023/2024 season. Since November 2024, he has been a member of the Hermann Levi Academy of the Bayerischen Staatsorchesters.
