Sören Geiger

Soeren Geiger, born in Bad Friedrichshall, received his first bassoon lessons at the age of seven from Marco Rogalski.
In autumn 2018, he was accepted into the PreCollege of the Würzburg University of Music as a preliminary student.
After graduating from high school, he began his bachelor's degree at the HfM Würzburg with Prof Albrecht Holder in October 2022. He received masterclasses and lessons from Ole K. Dahl, Carlo Colombo, Phillip Zeller, Rie Koyama, Oscar Bohorquez, Marc Engelhardt and Tobias Pelkner, among others. In March 2018, Soeren Geiger was accepted into the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra. In 2019, he was accepted into the national youth orchestra, where he was able to gain valuable experience. From 2014 to 2021, he won numerous prizes in various categories at the Jugend musiziert competition, including three national prizes. In 2023, he took part in the 5th László Spezzaferri Music Prize in Verona and won first prize with full marks.
