Stephanie Hampl
was born in Munich and studied voice at the Music Academy in Augsburg as well as the Academy of Music and Theatre in Munich. She was a member of Helmut Deutsch’s recital class and attended master classes with Rudolf Piernay, Margaret Baker Genovesi and Brigitte Fassbaender. In academy opera productions she was heard as Dorabella (Così fan tutte) and Ramiro (La finta giardinera). Beyond this, she has made appearances in Würzburg, in the Chamber Opera at Rheinsberg Palace and has also worked with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester. Besides this she won a grant from the Richard Wagner Society and the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart. Since the autumn of 2007 she has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.
