Oscar Kempsey-Fagg

Oscar hails from Birmingham, UK. From 2014 through 2019 he trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School, from 2019 through 2022 at the Royal Ballet Upper School. During his studies, he got in touch with outstanding personalities from the world of dance such as Wayne McGregor, John Neumeier and Paul Lightfoot, and took over group parts in the Royal Ballet's productions of Romeo and Juliet (Kenneth MacMillan), The Nutcracker and Giselle (both in Peter Wright's version). From 2022 to 2024, he danced with BRB2, Birmingham Royal Ballet's junior company, moving up to the main company for the 2024/25 season. The productions in which he has appeared include La fille mal gardée (Frederick Ashton), Don Quixote (Carlos Acosta after Petipa), Coppelia (Peter Wright), The Nutcracker (Peter Wright & Vincent Redmon), Swan Lake (Peter Wright & Galina Samsova), Sleeping Beauty (Peter Wright), Cinderella (David Bintley), Still Life at the Penguin Café (David Bintley) and Black Sabbath – the Ballet (Pontus Lidberg/Raúl Reinoso/Cassi Abranches). He also danced the pas de deux from Frederick Ashton's Ballet Rhapsody with various partners. Starting with the 2025/26 season, he joined Bayerisches Staatsballett as a corps de ballet member.
