Juri Klevtsov

Graduated from: the Moscow Ballet School, Alexander Prokofiev's class. Joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company in 1988. Repertory includes: Conrad (Le Corsaire), James (La Sylphide), Danila (The Stone Flower), The Nutcracker Prince (The Nutcracker), Ferkhad (Legend of Love), Solor (La Bayadère), Blue Bird (The Sleeping Beauty), Romeo (Romeo and Juliet), leading roles in Petrushka, The Humbacked Horse, Love for Love. Today: Spartacus (Spartacus), Basil (Don Quixote), Abderakhman (Raymonda), The Evil Genius (Swan Lake), Jose (Carmen Suite). He created: Pyotr (The Bright Stream), Mercutio (Romeo and Juliet), Doctor (Ward №6). He created at the Bolshoi theatre: Soloist (Mozartiana). In 2006 appeared in Bolshoi Theatre Workshop as choreographer (Appropriation). Guest performances include: 1995-96 – Argentine’s Teatro Colon Ballet Company (La Fille mal gardee), 2000 – State Theatre of Opera and Ballet, Istanbul (Legend of Love). Appeared in gala-concerts The Stars of XXI century. He is coached by Mikhail Lavrovsky. Assistant of choreographer in Jeu de Cartes. Awards: 1988 – 1st Prize of the All-Union Competition of Ballet Dancers in Moscow, 1988 – 2nd Prize of the International Competition of Ballet Dancers at Varna. 1995 – the title of Merited Artist of the Russian Federation. 2001 – Order of Friendship.
