Émilie Lalande

Émilie Lalande was trained at Paris regional conservatory (CRR) and then at the national superior school of danse of Cannes (PNSD). As dancer, she started her carrier at the Ballet de l’Europe and worked with choreographers such as Jean-Charles Gil, Jeroen Verbruggen and Angelin Preljocaj. In 2008, she joined Ballet Preljocaj in Aix-en-Provence and performed major roles of Angelin Preljocaj’s repertoire during 10 years. At the same time, she created her company in 2015, Compagnie (1)Promptu, and showed her own pieces. Émilie’s work is essentially based on two major axes: The musicality of movement and the boundary between reality and fiction. In 2017, Émilie started creating pieces for young spectators with Pierre & le Loup (2017), Quatuor à Corps pour Mozart (2019), WOOD (2021), Le Carnaval des Animaux... (2022), PETROUCHKA ou le choix d’Holubichka (2023). She created two pieces for junior ballet companies: Cannes Jeune Ballet (2019), Ballet Preljocaj Junior (2021). From 2019 to 2021, Émilie was artist associated with Pavillon Noir – Ballet Prejocaj – CCN d’Aix-en-Provence. Since 2023, she is artist associated with Théâtres en Dracénie à Draguignan (France).
