David Lee

Ho-Chul Lee was born in Seoul, South Korea, and completed his vocal studies at the Seoul National University. Since October of 2005, he has studied opera at the Academy of Music and Theatre in Hamburg. He was a prize-winner at a number of international competitions and was singled out as “Leading Musician for the 21st Century” as well as “Tenor of the Year” by the Korean Broadcasting System. He has already made appearances as Tamino (Die Zauberflöte) and Turiddu (Cavalleria rusticana) at the Korean National Theatre and as Ferrando (Così fan tutte) in Hamburg. Since the autumn of 2007 he has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.
