Petra Leidner
Born in southern Germany, Petra Leidner studied costume and pattern design. Since 1992, she has been responsible for the realisation of all women's costumes for the Wuppertal stages and the Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, where she developed the costumes for many of Pina Bausch's pieces in close collaboration with Marion Cito for 25 years. In 2014, she was appointed head of the costume department at Wuppertaler Bühnen. Leidner works as a stylist for various photographers and as a costume designer at the Wuppertal Opera. Since 2017, she has worked as a freelancer for the Pina Bausch Foundation, where she is responsible for adapting the costumes for the worldwide adaptations of Pina Bausch's works, including several productions of Das Frühlingsopfer.
