Luis Lüps

Luis Lüps was born in Munich. Later he studied drama at the University of Arts in Berlin. During his education he made guest appearances at the Konzerthaus am Gendarmenmarkt, at the Maxim Gorki Theater and at the Deutschen Theater Berlin. In this period he worked with directors including Hermann Schmidt-Rahmer, Sascha Hawemann and Nuran David Calis. 2012−2014 he was engaged at the Jungen Staatstheater Braunschweig, where he collaborated with Mareike Mikat, Juliane Kann, Philippe Besson and Volker Schmidt. Since 2014 he is a freelance actor, who is invited for example by the Freilichtspiele Schwäbisch Hall, the Altonaer Theater in Hamburg, the Vorarlberger Landestheater Bregenz, the Theater and Orchester Heidelberg and the Theater Drachegasse Wien. In addition Luis Lüps joint film projects. He also realizes own theater performances. Young Choreographers 2018 marks his first guest appearance at the Bayerisches Staatsballett.
