Axel Mero

Born in Wodonga (Australia) and with Swedish descent, Axel Mero began his dance training at the Projection Dance School (2015-2021) before joining the Australian Ballet School (2021) and finishing his professional dance training at the Royal Ballet School (2021-2025). Axel gained professional experience performing with the Royal Ballet in their productions of Onegin (John Cranko), Cinderella (Frederick Ashton) and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Christopher Wheeldon) and performed annually with the Royal Ballet School’s performance at the Royal Opera House. He was the recipient of the Alpine Shire Youth Performing Arts Award and the Australia Day Youth Achiever Award (2020). From the 2025/26 season, Axel Mero joined the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München as an apprentice of the Bayerisches Staatsballett.
