Jasper Metcalfe

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Jasper began his ballet training at the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy at the age of six. In 2020, he transferred to the Queensland Ballet Academy in Brisbane, Australia. He completed his dance studies at the European School of Ballet in Amsterdam under the direction of Jean-Yves Esquerre and Olivier Wecxsteen, dancing and working with choreographic styles and pieces of August Bournonville, George Balanchine, David Dawson, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, Goyo Montero, and Maurice Béjart. He then joined Staatsballett Karlsruhe for the 2024/2025 season, performing as Count Paris in Jean-Christophe Maillot’s Romeo and Juliet, as well as in Grosse Fuge (Hans van Manen), Cantata (Mauro Bigonzetti), Das Schloss (Kristina Paulin), Requiem for a Rose (Annabelle Lopez Ochoa) and Mthuthuzeli November's new piece Water Me. In 2025/2026 season, he joined Bayerisches Staatsballett as a corps de ballet dancer.
