Maged Mohamed

Maged Mohamad was born to Egyptian parents in Mekka and started his ballet training at the age of eight. His first engagement was with the ballet company of the Cairo opera, after that he danced as a soloist with the Meininger Theater and with the ensemble of the Semperoper Dresden before he went to the Bayerisches Staatsballett in 2008. In the 2013/14 season he was part of the management team for the choreographic-integrative youth project Heinrich tanzt lll, the result of which was performed at the Muffathalle in Munich in July 2014. He has been working as a freelancing choreographer since 2015. Among his projects are Paradise, a piece that was shown at the Stuttgart Noverre-Gesellschaft in 2015 and the short film 7 Years Before which was premiered at international film festival Nice.

In the 2016/17 season, Maged Mohamed creates The Little Prince, a ballet for young audience . In June 2020 Tango Between Us for the series Streifzüge am Mittwoch II.
