Levente Molnár

Levente Molnár was born in Transylvania and grew up in Hungary. He began voice lessons at the age of 14, and was a member of the Opera Studio at the State Opera in Budapest from 2003, making his début there in 2006 as Don Giovanni. As a member of the ensemble at the Budapest State Opera, he continues to expand his repertoire with such roles as Conte Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro), Malatesta (Don Pasquale) and the title role in Evgeny Onegin. In the autumn of 2008 he made a highly successful début at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London as Masetto (Don Giovanni). 2013/14 Season: Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Peter Besenbinder (Hänsel und Gretel), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Paolo Albiani (Simon Boccanegra), Amfortas (Parsifal), Marcello (La bohème).
