Marc Mondelaers
was born in Hasselt/Belgium and was trained at the Stedelijk Institut voor Ballet in Antwerpen. He danced with the Ballet at the Opera at the Rhein in Düsseldorf/Duisburg, then joined the Zurich Ballet in 1990 where he was seen among others as Kastschei in Uwe Scholz´s Firebird. Two years later he joined the Ballets de Monte Carlo. In 1993 he became member of the Bavarian State Ballet. His repertoire includes – among others - Fading Away (Stephan Thoss), Brief Fling (Twyla Tharp), Woyzeck (Davide Bombana), Giselle und A Sort of… (Mats Ek), The Unsung (José Limon), as well as the Lion in John Neumeier’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In the season 2004/2005 he was seen in Forsythes´s Limb´s Theorem and Hans van Manen’s Black Cake among others. In the season 2005/2006 he danced the innkeeper in Graham Murphys The silver rose.
