Joseph Morrissey

Joseph Morissey, born in Boston, started his dance education at the Boston Ballet School and completed it at the Harrod Conservatory Florida and at the summer schools of the Royal Ballet School London and the Houston Ballet Academy. At the Indiana University he graduated with a “Bachelor of Science in Ballet”.
His first theatre engagements took him to the Boston Ballet and the Charleston Ballet, where he danced important roles in plenty of George Balanchine ballets and in classic works such as Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker or Cinderella.
Besides of his dancing carrier he is also active as a choreographer. He performed a few of his peaces with the School of Jacob’s Pillow in Becket/Massachusetts and the Italian Fine Ensemble Ballet Adriatico in Ascoli Piceno and received an Award for Chorography for his works.

In Munich, he started his first engagement with a European dance company in 2007/2008.
