Aziz Panah

Aziz Panah was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, and began his musical training on the oboe at the age of nine. In 2019, he was admitted to the Uzeyir Hajibeyli Music Academy in Baku, one of the country's most prestigious music institutions. In the same year, he was awarded the title “Youth of the Year” by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan for his outstanding achievements.
Since 2022, Aziz has been continuing his studies as a Bachelor's student at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, where he is taught in the class of Professor Ralf van Daal.
His experience as an orchestral musician includes numerous engagements: In the 2021/2022 season, he played in the orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Music Theater and in 2022 he took on the position of assistant principal oboist in the Azerbaijan State Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he acted as a substitute in the position of solo oboist in the orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Opera and Ballet Theater.
In the 2022 and 2023 seasons, he was a member of the Pan-Caucasian Youth Orchestra at the Tsinandali International Classical Music Festival. He has worked with internationally renowned conductors and musicians such as Gianandrea Noseda, Manfred Honeck, Vasily Petrenko, Lisa Batiashvili, Amihai Grosz, Augustin Hadelich and Gautier Capuçon.
In 2023, Aziz Panah was awarded the Deutschlandstipendium. He has been a member of the Hermann-Levi-Academie of the Bayerischen Staatsorchesters since January 2025.
