Daisy Phillips

Born in Oakland, California, Daisy studied in Berkeley, London and Geneva, where she was a member of the Ballet Junior. In 2007 she moved to Belgium to work with Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Having participated in several of his creations, she frequently stages his choreographies today.
As a dancer she has created work with Alain Platel, Constanza Macras, Quan Bui Ngoc, Lisi Estarás, and many others. She has been working with choreographer Serge Aimé Coulibaly since 2017, and in the 2024/25 season appears in his production Balau at Münchner Kammerspiele.
Daisy has been a guest artist with the Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève and the Norwegian National Ballet, and a member of the Göteborgs Operans Danskompani. She has ongoing creative partnerships with theatre director Gaia Saitta, librettist/director Lisa Capaccioli, and opera director Cecilia Ligorio (most recently, choreographing her productions of Cenerentola and Don Giovanni at Oper Köln). She directs social/choreographic projects at the Théâtre National in Brussels, works as a translator for theaters and museums, and is an intimacy director/coordinator for opera, dance, and film.
