Laura Rey
studied voice, among other places, at the Conservatory of Puerto Rico and at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and was herself active as a teacher. She has not only sung such operatic roles as Mimì (La Bohème), Morgana (Alcina) and Miss Jessel (The Turn of the Screw) in North and Central America, but has also gathered experienced in the rock and pop field. Beyond this she is a dedicate composer and was nominated in Los Angeles as “Best Latin Music Songwriter of the Year 2000”. Since the autumn of 2007 she has been a member of the Opera Studio at the Bavarian State Opera.
