Marianna Ryzhkina

Graduated from: Moscow Ballet School, Yelena Ryabinkina's class. Then she is a graduate of the Faculty of Choreography, the Moscow Institute of Choreography. Joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company in 1989. Repertory includes: Giselle (Giselle), Sylphide (La Sylphide), Kitri (Don Quixote), Marie (The Nutcracker), Shireen (Legend of Love), Lisa (La Fille mal Gardee), Helen (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Phrygia (Spartacus), Princess Florine (The Sleeping Beauty), Soloist part I (Symphony in C), Tarantella, Tchaikovsky pas de deux, Glove Seller (Gaîté Parisienne), Les Sylphides (Chopiniana), Little Radish (Cipollino). She created at the Bolshoi theatre: Frivolity (Les Présages). Repertory also includes: Katerina (The Taming of the Shrew), Moment, Capriccios (Bolshoi theatre Workshop, 2005-2006). Guest performances include: Ballet Arlington (Carmen, La rose Malad), Korean National Ballet (Swan Lake), National Opera and Ballet Theatre of Moldova (Giselle, Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty), Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (Tsar-fish, Antigona). She was a pupil of Raisa Struchkova, then she is coached by Ekaterina Maximova. She Awards: 1994 – 3rd prize at the Serge Lifar Ballet Competition in Kiev, 1995 – 2nd prize at the Competition of Ballet Dancers in Osaka.  2002 – the title of Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.
