Katharina Strepp

Katharina Strepp was born in Munich and began playing the violin at the age of four.Katharina Strepp was born in Munich and began playing the violin at the age of four. She studied with former Munich Philharmonic musician Jorge Sutil and won several first prizes at "Jugend musiziert." In 2019, she began her Bachelor's degree under Prof. Petru Munteanu at the Leopold Mozart Center Augsburg and completed it under Prof. Ingolf Turban at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. During the 2024/25 academic year, Katharina was an Erasmus student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna under Prof. Christian Altenburger. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree under Prof. Turban in Munich and Prof. Altenburger in Vienna. Masterclasses with Prof. Pierre Amoyal, Prof. Julia Fischer, and Anton Barakhovsky, among others, have enriched her artistic development.
At the "Kloster Schöntal" Violin Competition in 2022, Katharina was awarded 1st prize in her age group and received a violin by Nicolò Gagliano on loan from Florian Leonhard Fine Violins, London. Katharina was a member of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra. She is also a scholarship holder at the Music Academy in Liechtenstein, where she completed the Imperial Program and takes part in the Academy's intensive weeks.
Since September 2026, she has been part of the Hermann Levi Academy of the Bavarian State Orchestra.
