Tahlia Szumowski

Born in Brisbane (Australia), Tahlia Szumowski began her dance training at the Promenade Dance Studio before completing her professional education at the Queensland College of Dance in 2025. Tahlia was part of the Queensland Ballet Associate Program (2019) and has had scholarships for secondments with the John Cranko Schule in Stuttgart (2021), the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (2023), Houston Ballet Academy (2024), American Ballet Theatre Jacqueline Onassis School (2024), Dortmund Ballett (2024), Australian Ballet School (2024) and Queensland Ballet Academy (2024). Tahlia was a finalist in the Alana Haines Awards (2023/2024) and the Fonteyn Dance Competition (2024), she won the National Claudia Dean Scholarship (2024) and the Australian RAD Advanced 1 Bursary (2024) as well as being selected as a candidate for the Prix de Lausanne (2025). In the 2025/26 season, Tahlia Szumowski joined the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München as an apprentice of the Bayerisches Staatsballett.
