Zara Trass

Zara hails from Brisbane, Australia. She trained at the Annette Roselli Dance Academy from the age of five. Alongside fulltime training at ARDA, Zara trained with the Australian Ballet School Interstate Training Program (2019-2023).  Highlights included competing at the YAGP Finals in Florida (2023) and winning the RAD Junior Centenary Medal (2021). Zara also received invitations and scholarship secondments from the John Cranko School (2024), the European School of Ballet (2024), the Alberta Ballet School (2023), the English National Ballet School (2024), and the Dutch National Ballet Academy (2024).  At age 16, Zara moved to Amsterdam to continue her training at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, from which she graduated in 2026, completing the Associate Degree in Classical Ballet. During her time at the Dutch National Ballet Academy, Zara performed in Dutch National Ballet’s The Nutcracker & the Mouse King (Wayne Eagling & Tier van Schayk), Romeo & Juliet (Toer van Schayk) and La Bayadère (Rachel Beaujean, Priya Srinivasan, Kalpana Raghuraman and Ted Brandsen after Petipa). Starting with the 2026/27 season, she will be joining Bayerisches Junior Ballett München.
