Igor Tsarkov

Igor Tsarkov, born in Dnipropetrowsk/Ukraine, studied voice at the local conservatory and at the national music academy "A. V. Nezhdanova" in Odessa. 

In addition to his academic studies, he has participated in a masterclass with Luciano Pavarotti. He has won several awards including the VI International Competition for Young Singers A. Solovyanenko (2013) and has performed at the national Opera in Odessa and the Odessa Philharmonic Theater. His repertoire includes Ramfis and Il Re (Aida), Timur (Turandot), der Komtur (Don Giovanni) and Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia). Since the 2015/16 season he is a member of the Bayerische Staatsoper's Opera Studio.
