Megan Wefel

Born in the US, Megan Wefel began her professional dance training at the Visceral Dance Chicago Studio Training Company, the A&A Ballet, Chicago - Youth Company before completing her studies as a trainee of The Washington Ballet, District of Columbia. She has studied repertoire from Nick Pupillo, Alexei Kremnev, Braeden Barnes and Xiomara Reyes as well as performing onstage with The Washington Ballet in their productions of Septime Webre’s The Nutcracker and George Balanchine’s Themes and Variations and Julie Kent’s The Sleeping Beauty. Megan has participated in various summer intensives including The Washington Ballet District of Columbia, Ellison Ballet New York, A&A Ballet, Houston Ballet, Colorado Ballet and Joffrey Ballet. Megan has also won prizes at the Chicago editions of the World Ballet Art Competition and the Youth American Grand Prix. From the 2023/24 season, Mega Wefel is a member of the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München as an apprentice of the Bayerisches Staatsballett.
